ENTRY RULES & GUIDELINES PARADE DECEMBER 7 @ 11:00 LINE-UP BEGINS 9:00 AM
All entries must be decorated and be family-friendly. ONLY Christmas music permitted.
No Santa other than the one we provide at the end of the parade. The parade committee reserves the rights to provide the parade's Santa Claus.
Any animals submitted must furnish clean up behind them. If your animal is not controlled, you will be removed from the parade.
All participants need to know their assigned line up number in order for Marshals to assist in the correct order.
Nothing may be thrown to parade watchers. Candy and such can be passed out along the sides. This is a safety issue and is enforced by the VPD.
Vehicles are prohibited from damaging streets by burning or marking city property. Marshals will remove any violators from the parade.
No commercial or political advertising. You may display the name of your business on a float. No entries allowed in parade with advertising as the sole purpose.
***The Parade Committee/Marshals reserve the right to limit or remove any entries deemed inappropriate or not following these guidelines. HOW TO ENTER PARADE ROUTE – A map will be included in your email with line-up #... enter Church Street from Jackson or Adams Street on Sixth Street…A Marshal will give you your line up location. Parade judges and all media will be staged at the designated Media Center on the right corner of 280 and Jackson Street. DISBANDING PARADE FOR PICK-UP: Turn right on Slayton Street before BI-LO or Broadfoot Blvd. after BI-LO Shopping Center or continue straight on Hwy. 280 East. DO NOT stop as soon as you turn off of 280. Please continue to pick up sight such as Sally D. Meadows School, Masonic Lodge, or Calvary on Aimwell. Walkers you may disband at Truist Bank (formerly known as BB&T) or Checkers/Flash Foods. SAFETY FIRST
First Aid stations will be set up at the Vidalia Police Department
Lost children will be carried to the Police Department
